Every great bakery has a story, and ours starts with a little jar of sourdough starter.
One Christmas, my mom handed me a sourdough starter as a gift and said, "Here's your new son." His official name? Breadly Cooper.
To be honest, I was terrified.
I was so afraid of ruining him that I left him in the refrigerator for almost two months while I read everything I could about sourdough. I learned how to feed him, care for him, and keep him alive before I finally worked up the courage to bake.
When the day finally came, I fed Breadly every day for a week and started experimenting in the kitchen.
Before I knew it, I was baking everything I could imagine—artisan breads, scones, cookies, cookie bars, pretzels, brownies, cinnamon rolls, and so much more.
Somewhere along the way, something unexpected happened.
I fell in love with baking all over again.
Baking had always been something I enjoyed, but after losing my dad in 2019, I'd lost that creative spark. Spending time in the kitchen brought a piece of me back. Every loaf, every batch of cookies, and every smile from friends and family reminded me why I loved creating something that could bring people together.
Then one day, I discovered giant gourmet cookies.
My very first one was a classic sprinkle cookie.
One bite was all it took.
I was hooked.
I couldn't stop experimenting with new flavors, fillings, and textures. Every batch became better than the last, and before long, my kitchen was filled with oversized cookies that friends and family couldn't get enough of.
They all kept asking the same question:
"When are you going to start selling these?"
So I finally listened.
And that's how Breadly Bakes was born.
Named after the little sourdough starter who unknowingly reignited my passion, Breadly Bakes is built on creativity, comfort, and sharing homemade treats that make people smile.
Every cookie is baked with love, made in small batches, and created with the hope that it brings you just as much joy as baking them has brought me.
